Family Services provides high quality intervention and prevention services to children and families to reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect in the Los Angeles community. Our bilingual and bicultural staff is uniquely qualified to provide culturally sensitive services to the Latino population. Skilled staff partner with families to assess their specific needs and develop a comprehensive treatment plan to meet the needs of each family. We offer a wide range of educational and supportive services to empower families to create positive change in their lives.

Programs include:

 

Female Perpetrator Domestic Violence Classes 
Monday 4 pm to 5 pm 
Bilingual 
Registration Fee: $25.00 (non-refundable)
Class Fee: $15.00
To obtain a certificate of completion, participant must complete minimum 26 classes. 

Adult Anger Management Classes
Monday 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Bilingual 
Registration Fee: $25.00 (non-refundable)
Class Fee: $15.00 per class
To obtain a certificate of completion, participant must complete minimum 20 classes.

Male Perpetrator Domestic Violence Classes
Monday 6:30 pm to 8 pm
Bilingual
Registration Fee: $35.00 (non-refundable)
Class Fee: $ 25.00 per class
To obtain a certificate of completion, participant must complete 26 to 52 classes. 

Teen Anger Management Classes – (ages 12 to 17)
Tuesday 4 pm to 5 pm
Bilingual 
Registration Fee: $ 25.00 (non-refundable)
Class Fee: $15.00
To obtain a certificate of completion, participant must complete minimum 20 classes.

Parent Education Classes
Tuesday 5 pm to 6:30 pm
Bilingual

Domestic Violence Class for Women Victims
Tuesday 6:30 pm to 8 pm
Bilingual

To obtain a certificate of completion, participant must complete minimum 20 classes.

 

 

Prevention and Aftercare Program (P&A) Plaza Community Services provides prevention and aftercare services to families who do not have a case open with the Department of Children and Family Services. 

The following services are free under the Prevention and Aftercare Program:

  • Parent Education
  • Teen Anger Management Education
  • Teen Domestic Violence Education
  • Adult Anger Management Education
  • Domestic Violence Education Group (female victims)

Relative Support Services Program Plaza Community Services provides free support groups and educational seminars to caregivers and children participating in the Foster Care System. Some of the topics and activities:

  • Nurturing Parenting Skills
  • Fun activities for caregiver and children
